Our first classes will be on this week, on Wednesday 9.00am – 12 noon (AEST). This is Queensland time, where we do not have daylight saving.

Classes in Melbourne and Sydney will be at 10.00am – 1.00pm (Daylight Saving Time) – while daylight saving continues.

Many people are excited to be starting university this week. As well as a bit nervous at starting something new.

For those planning to come to class, we will be using Echo 360 to allow us to have the slides, media and interactive questions on our devices during class.

Before our first class

You should set up your device to use Echo 360 before our first class. To do this:

Please go to our Moodle site and click on the Echo 360 link in the top centre section of Moodle. This will allow you to create an Echo 360 account. You only need to do this once.

Tablet or phone

Once you have an Echo 360 account, on your tablet or phone download the Echo 360 app (search ‘Echo 360’ in your app store). It is available for Apple, Android and Microsoft. This will give you direct access to the slides, media and interactive questions each week (without needing to go through Moodle).

Laptop or computer

On your laptop or computer, go to Echo360.org.au. Login using you Student (cqumail) email address. This will give you direct access to the slides, media and interactive questions each week (without needing to go through Moodle).

If you have any difficulty getting Echo 360 ready for our first class, discuss any issues you might have on our unit Facebook page. There will be plenty of people to help each other. And you can also get set up with Echo 360 in class this week; that will be fine.

I look forward to working with you this week. And for those participating in our class this week I look forward to us together starting to explore the exciting world of Accounting, Learning & Online Communication. We will be focusing on the ‘Learning‘ part of our unit this week.
