The opportunity
- Market research interviews with visitors to the Rockhampton Botanic Gardens and Zoo
- Interviews will be conducted on behalf of Rockhampton Regional Council and Enhance Research (a long-established market research company)
- Work involves several 5-hour shifts at the Gardens and Zoo to intercept visitors and seek their cooperation to complete a short research survey
Seeking
- Students who are self-motivated, confident and mature to approach visitors
- Students in any discipline are welcome to apply.
- Previous interviewing experience or study of market research, marketing or communications units will be favourably regarded
Project details
- The survey questionnaire focuses on the visitor experience of the Rockhampton Botanic Gardens and/or Rockhampton Zoo
- It will take approximately 10 minutes to ask the questions and record the responses
- Interviewing will take place during daylight hours, both on weekdays and weekends
- Interviews are expected to be conducted during April 2017, with specific dates yet to be confirmed
Pay rate
- The casual employment rate will be as per the NUW and AMSRO Market Research Industry Agreement 2017– 2020, being $29.12 per hour, plus superannuation
Interviewer requirements
- Interviewers will be required to wear an ID badge (provided by Enhance Research), fully-enclosed shoes, wide-brimmed sun hat and sun protection, and be fully immunised
- Interviewers must attend a short training session (2 hours maximum) prior to commencing market research interviewing
- Interviewers will need to complete an employment form, superannuation form and provide a recent head-shot photo (for the ID badge)
